Sustainability

Soil

The Southern Victorian soils are amongst the richest in the state. With loamy topsoil, the ground is ideal for growing our Christmas Trees. However, because the soil is so sandy, when it dries it can become dusty quite quickly, and without the correct practises in place erosion can occur at rapid rates.

Naturally, Christmas Trees hold together the soil they are planted in, with their early development of strong root systems.

The trees keep the soil moist around them too, when the rain falls on the needles, it filters through and lays in a neat circle around each tree.

Along with our Christmas Trees, we are actively planting wind break trees to help hold together the delicate topsoil.

Plastic OR Real

I will be able to keep my plastic trees for years and years, so surely thats the better option?

This is a common misconception. Studies have shown that the environmental impact of plastic trees far outweigh the impacts of purchasing a Real Christmas Tree year after year.

Most plastic trees are manufactured in China, wouldn't it be great to know you are supporting a home grown Australian business?
